Toni Grilo was born in 1979, in France. He graduated in product design at the École Supérieure Boulle, Paris. In 2001, the designer Marco Sousa Santos invited him to work at the Proto Design agency, in Lisbon. In 2003, Toni collaborates with the Radi Designers, especially Robert Stadler who leads him to return to Paris. He develops, amongst other projects, experimental pieces with the French Dallas organism and creates furniture for the Mooma Shanghai. In the Experimenta Design in 2005 he presents pieces in a solo exhibition, “Dysfunction”. That same year he was invited by Brigitte Fitoussi, the artistic director of the Christofle trademark, to design pieces in silver. Toni established the “Objection “ agency with the designer Elder Monteiro and in 2008 opened his own studio. Toni has been developing objects for Christofle in France, Italy Venini, Vista Alegre – Atlantis, ADIC, Publicform, Corque, TAP, and others. In 2010, he was invited to become the director of the new design fair, the LisboaDesign Show, integrated in the Intercasa Concept.
